Children Football News


Adults at kids’ football matches in Lancashire this weekend are being asked to keep silent and peaceful to stay clear of putting kids off their game.


The aim of Lancashire Football Association is to change adult mind-sets at youth football games.
FA officer Neil Yates stated "Children are frightened by yelling parents.” "We desire coaches and moms and dads to be good models.”

'Silent Weekend' code of conduct.
*All parents are to avoid any yelling or direct communication with players.
*Applause should be for both groups.
*Parents are avoided from "recommending" coaches.
*Parents and coaches are to abstain from "advising" or questioning referees.
*Where possible, an 'Adult Ambassador' are to be present at every game.
